WELCOME

I’m Dr. Katelyn Gomes, a compassionate and experienced clinical psychologist specializing in individual and couples therapy.

I have a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities that can arise in life and relationships, and I’m dedicated to helping individuals and couples navigate through difficult times and cultivate healthier, more fulfilling connections.

I, like most people, have personally experienced and witnessed the ups and downs that life and relationships can bring.

Through these personal encounters, I developed an interest in relationships as well as a genuine passion for understanding our experiences and connections.

This led me on a journey of both personal exploration and healing and professional development, equipping me with the knowledge and skills needed to assist others in their own life journeys.

Professional Training

I completed my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Lakehead University and my pre-doctoral internship at St. Mary’s of the Lake Rehabilitation Hospital, Adult Mental Health at Providence Care Hospital, and KidsInclusive at Hotel Dieu Hospital.

I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and integrate other evidence-based approaches such as mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and schema therapy.

For couples therapy, I have completed training through the Gottman Institute.

ABOUT THE NAME

The name, Mosaic, came to me while traveling through South America. I imagined each travel experience as individual pieces that, when put together, create a mosaic of a life story. Each trip, each new culture encountered, and each adventure embarked on contributes to the mosaic of personal experiences. Just like the individual pieces of a mosaic come together to create a larger whole, experiences can combine to form a rich tapestry of memories, insights, and personal growth.
